Snow had a tough few days...
Here's the report in Bernie's words:
"I groomed Okemo trail this morning. The Healdville trail is in bad need of snow as this warm weather has left it bare in a lot of spots. Going to 155 is fine though. Will not be grooming again till more snow as also area icy spots r causing problems for the groomer and snowmobiles alike. Rich is grooming North Hill now and has stated that there are a lot of bare spots plus ice down in the loop going from Pinnacle to Warming Hut! We are looking at freezing rain sleet and a small amount of snow but it will not be enough to overcome the trails because of the warm temps we have been having. So our grooming crew will be idle for now."
And the report in Rich's words:
"Did a sketchy groomer run tonight trail between Pinnacle and power line is 80% ice. Power line is either bare or ice. Trail from Warming Hut to WR 82 was groomed. There is snow but not a lot right now. It is ride own risk."
Thanks, Bernie and Rich for getting out there to give us the scoop! I guess it's fair to say use your own judgement if you want to go out there and be extra careful. Riding isn't recommended for now. We all need to think snow!
Note: If you need a little cheering up, the nearby Chester club is still hosting their Valentines party this weekend. Go to their site for more details. You can drive you car/truck there.
The Weathersfield Pathfinder's Poker Run was moved to Feb 23rd.
