😊Good news - December 16 (Monday) is the "official" date where trails can open

😒Bad news - The rain took a lot of the snow and turned it rock hard

😊Good news - There still is some white stuff on the ground

😒Bad news - There isn't enough snow to open the trails

😊Good news - With the ice base, when we do get enough snow it should be sweet.

❗❗Important news - we will be sharing a piece of Corridor 127 on Okemo. Please read below.

😊Good news - We did a lot of trail work and got some trail updates for ya...

Trail News:

The Croncher Crew has completed the following this spring/summer/fall:

1. Further flood repair on the back of Okemo (corridors 127 and 7).

2. Further flood repair on Bridge 4 on corridor 127 near car route 100S ... raised the bridge, fixed the approach and departure, and replaced the railing.

3. Straighten the trail by Soapstone Rd on corridor 127 (above LaValley's) to make it safer and easier to groom.

4. Flood repair to the feeder trail to car Route 103, known as the "Darcy Trail") so we can open it again (was closed last year).

5. Replaced the railing on Bridge #1 over on Corridor 127 by Bixby Rd.

6. Usual debrushing and brush hogging.

7. Groomer maintenance.

8. Cleaned the Warming Hut

9. And the biggest news is we built a new Groomer Shed in a more central location! We will have a celebration of that in the near future with more details.

IMPORTANT REROUTE of Skiers and Snowshoers to know about:

The Catamount trail will be detoured onto the VAST trail 127 on Okemo for the entire length of Government/Healdville Rd because of the timber sale (sort of close to RD76). This means that you need to be extra careful in that area keeping on the lookout for cross country skiers and snowshoers in that area. Map below:
