Had a bunch of volunteers out there this weekend making sure corridor 7 and 7A by car route 155 down to Healdville Rd were clear of trees. Got a few of them out of the way. Even with the trees out of the way, the trail from RD78 to Healdville Rd is pretty rough with a lot of hazardous water bars if you are going too fast.
Similar to the last trail report, use caution on all the trails as there is thin cover, rocks and water bars. Go slowly. It is just enough to get out. Very early season conditions exist. Caution that there is a plow pile wall of snow near Pinnacle Rock on 127A where it crosses Commonwealth Ave.
Bernie groomed trail 127 on the Okemo side last Wednesday, 1/6. Other than that, trails are ungroomed. We need snow!
Please note that a lot of area clubs have not opened their trails. You need to check the VAST map to see if you can venture outside of Ludlow.
Think Snow! Thank you, Volunteers!
