01-12-2025 - Trail Report

The club UTV carried us along in the woods with "we come from the land of ice and snow" jamming on the radio as we headed to clear a couple of fallen trees on Corridor 127. Set the mood just right! Thanks, Mike & Donna for notifying us of the downed trees. It's very helpful to have more eyes on the scene as there is only a handful that maintain the trails. Corridor 127 was checked in the area of 5th dam (the bowls) and up to the "T" intersection. No more trees down over there. North Hill (127A & 127B) has been checked and is fine with no trees down. If anyone sees any more trees out there, please let us know. Even better if you can move it out of the way safely. We are all volunteers and every bit helps!

Saw a bunch of you out for a ride this weekend which was nice to see. Conditions are very early season, but it felt good to be out there even if it was just for a little bit.

Trails up on Okemo 127 do have a pretty good amount of snow for now. Definitely water bars and some rocks poking out. Tomorrow is warmer so hoping it sets the snow in without melting it too much. As usual, town is getting a bit thin and we will be keeping an eye on it. North Hill (127A and and 127B) are thin but better than in town. No trails will be groomed until we get a bit more snow. We will try and keep trails open as long as we can. Stay tuned. Take it slow and easy so you don't damage yourself or your sled or spin what snow we have off the trail. Hazards do exist, so keep an eye out.

PLEASE DO NOT GO ON UNOPENED TRAILS in neighboring towns. Keep posted on area trail status using the VAST trails app and area clubs' social media to see what is open and what is not. We do not want to jeopardize trails closing permanently for a little bit of a ride today.

Think snow! Here are some pics from Corridor 127 today over by 5th Dam and up to the "T" on Okemo.
